CMiQCertified Training Program

Understanding
the certifications

Each badge on a practitioner's directory listing tells you what they have been trained to evaluate. Here is what each certification covers โ€” in plain language.

What the Badges Mean

Not all training is
created equal

A practitioner can hold one, two, or all three CMiQCertified certifications. Each one indicates specific advanced training in a distinct clinical domain โ€” and tells you immediately whether that practitioner is equipped to evaluate your particular health picture.

Standard clinical training does not cover the intersection of liver health, metabolic function, thyroid dynamics, and hormonal health as an integrated system. CMiQCertified training fills that gap โ€” giving practitioners the assessment framework, the interpretive tools, and the clinical protocols to evaluate and address cardiometabolic risk comprehensively rather than one isolated value at a time.

The three certifications below are stackable. A practitioner who holds all three has been trained across the full cardiometabolic spectrum โ€” from core liver-metabolic assessment through thyroid integration to the specific hormonal dynamics of the perimenopausal transition.

Core Liver-Metabolic Certified

CardioMetaboliQ Core Training

What This Training Covers

Core training addresses the relationship between liver health and cardiovascular risk as an integrated system. Practitioners learn to evaluate hepatic fat accumulation using validated non-invasive tools including the Fatty Liver Index, assess insulin resistance directly rather than inferring it from glucose values alone, interpret the full atherogenic lipid pattern associated with MASLD, and apply evidence-based reversal protocols calibrated to the patient's specific risk profile.

Training also covers the critical limitations of standard screening โ€” why normal liver enzymes do not rule out fatty liver, why elastography misses early-stage disease, and why multi-domain pattern assessment finds what single-marker approaches cannot.

Clinical Approach After Certification

A Core Liver-Metabolic Certified practitioner evaluates your liver health not in isolation but as part of your full cardiometabolic picture. They assess hepatic markers, metabolic markers, cardiovascular risk markers, and inflammatory signals simultaneously โ€” because that is how the risk actually accumulates. They will not tell you your enzymes are normal and send you home. They will tell you what the full pattern means and what to do about it.

Relevant For

All patients concerned about metabolic health, cardiovascular risk, fatty liver, insulin resistance, energy levels, weight management, or cardiometabolic syndrome โ€” regardless of age or gender. This is the foundational certification held by every practitioner in the directory.

๐Ÿฆ‹
Thyroid-Metabolic Certified

ThyroMetaboliQ Training

What This Training Covers

ThyroMetaboliQ training covers the intersection of thyroid function and metabolic health โ€” a domain that standard thyroid screening consistently underserves. Practitioners learn how thyroid dysfunction amplifies cardiometabolic risk, why subclinical hypothyroidism (TSH within conventional range but metabolically suboptimal) accelerates hepatic fat accumulation and impairs lipid clearance, and how to interpret a comprehensive thyroid panel rather than TSH in isolation.

Training also addresses the bidirectional relationship between thyroid and liver function โ€” how hepatic dysfunction impairs thyroid hormone conversion, and how normalizing thyroid status supports liver metabolic recovery.

Clinical Approach After Certification

A Thyroid-Metabolic Certified practitioner does not evaluate thyroid and metabolic health as separate silos. They assess the thyroid's contribution to lipid dysregulation, insulin resistance, and hepatic fat accumulation โ€” and they manage the integration, not just the individual values. A TSH within the "normal" reference range is not the end of the conversation. It is the beginning of a more precise one.

Relevant For

Patients with known or suspected thyroid conditions, unexplained metabolic dysfunction, persistent fatigue, difficulty with weight management that has not responded to standard approaches, elevated cholesterol or triglycerides without obvious cause, or any metabolic picture that has not been fully explained by standard testing.

Perimenopausal-Thyroid-Metabolic Certified

EndoMetaboliQ Training

What This Training Covers

EndoMetaboliQ training addresses the hormonal and metabolic shifts specific to perimenopause โ€” a life stage that creates a distinct and often poorly managed cardiometabolic risk profile. Practitioners learn how declining estradiol and progesterone alter hepatic lipid metabolism, insulin sensitivity, and inflammatory tone; how these changes interact with thyroid function to amplify metabolic dysfunction; and how to interpret the full hormonal picture in the context of cardiometabolic risk.

This certification is specifically designed for clinical management of perimenopausal females. The hormonal dynamics addressed are specific to this life stage and do not apply to male patients or premenopausal females.

Clinical Approach After Certification

A practitioner holding this certification understands that the metabolic changes of perimenopause are not simply "hormonal" in the narrow sense. They are systemic โ€” affecting the liver, the cardiovascular system, the thyroid, and insulin function simultaneously. This practitioner evaluates the full hormonal and metabolic picture together and develops interventions that address the interaction, not just the individual components.

Relevant For

Perimenopausal women experiencing metabolic changes, thyroid symptoms, new or worsening cardiovascular risk factors, weight redistribution toward the abdomen, fatigue, brain fog, or any health shift that has coincided with hormonal changes in midlife. This certification applies specifically to perimenopausal females.

Reading a Listing

How to read a practitioner's
directory listing

Each listing in the directory shows the practitioner's name, credentials, location, contact information, care modality (in-person, telehealth, or both), and the certification badges they hold. The example to the right shows what a listing with all three certifications looks like โ€” and what each element tells you.

A practitioner with only the Core badge is fully equipped for general cardiometabolic assessment. A practitioner with all three has been trained across the complete spectrum of cardiometabolic, thyroid, and perimenopausal health integration.

Use the badges as a filter for your specific situation. If you are a perimenopausal woman with thyroid concerns and metabolic risk, look for a practitioner who holds all three. If your concern is general metabolic health, any listed practitioner is equipped to help.

Example Directory Listing
Dr. Rachel Osei
NMD ยท Scottsdale, AZ
Core Liver-Metabolic Thyroid-Metabolic Perimenopausal-Thyroid-Metabolic
๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ Telehealth & In-Person

Three badges indicates this practitioner has completed all three CMiQCertified training levels โ€” Core, Thyroid-Metabolic, and Perimenopausal-Thyroid-Metabolic.

Telehealth available means you can work with this practitioner remotely if you are not local to Scottsdale.

NMD is the credential for a licensed Naturopathic Medical Doctor โ€” one of the practitioner types represented in the CMiQCertified network.

About the Training Program

CMiQCertified training is administered by CMiQHealth

CMiQCertified training is administered by CMiQHealth, a cardiometabolic clinical intelligence platform. CMiQHealth developed the assessment framework, clinical protocols, and interpretive tools that underpin each certification level. Practitioners in the EndFattyLiver.com directory have completed their relevant training through this program and have been selected for their metro area based on that credential.

EndFattyLiver.com is an independent consumer education resource. The inclusion of CMiQCertified practitioners in this directory does not represent the exclusive approach to fatty liver management. This directory does not constitute an endorsement of any specific clinical methodology.
